As always, thank you, Mr. Martin. I didn't mean to post this item on the AL board; I thought I was on the MS one. Mr. Robert Wells was kind enough to add material to the post and between the two of you we have some nice material for someone.

One thing I don't get: Both you and Mr. wells mentioned the three boys were mustered in the 27th, (and you noted that the 27th was consolidated with the 24th "late in the war") yet here we have the news item saying the boys were in the 24th in late 1861. Any ideas?
