Confederate Prison and hospital at Thomaston, GA

Does anyone have information on a Confederate Prison camp that was supposedly near Thomaston, Georgia in 1864? This was not a POW camp for captured Yankees. It was a Confederate prison for men and would have housed men who had been court-martialed. It is my understanding that they would also have had a hospital ward as part of this prison camp, which reported to the Confederate hospital system in Atlanta. I am particularly interested in anything about members of the 57th Alabama Infantry who may have been at this prison in May of 1864. They would have been part of the group from the 57th Alabama that were accused of instigating the Peace Society Mutiny in December, 1863.

Thanks,
