Fagan served as an Officer in Company K and was the commanding officer of Company K at the Appomatox surrender. I have found records indicating that he authored a book about Southern war songs and had some of his war recollections published in the Philadelphia Times. I have been unable to locate any newspaper named Philadelphia Times during or after the Civil War. I would like to find his recollections of the war if they exist. Any information regarding this matter would be appreciated.
