There are 268 Confederate graves at Oak Hill Cemetery, Newman, Georgia — from W. S. Alexander of the 63rd Tennessee Infantry to Joel Young of Co. E, 17th Alabama Infantry . . . .

The 17th Alabama fought at Chickamauga, Ga. Sept. 19, 1863 and Missionary Ridge, TN Nov. 25, 1863, where Joel may have been wounded
