On several occasions, starting in 1889, Uriah Holliman's widow,, Mary, of Fayette County, applied for and received a widow's pension from the State of Alabama. The board of examiners was duly satisfied that her husband had served in Company B of the 9th Alabama Battalion, and, according to her, had died in service on May 8, 1862.
