I am needing assistance in confirming/disproving a hunch of mine that the grave marker at Confederate Rest at Magnolia Cemetery in Mobile for NH Gohey is actually the grave of my 3rd ggf, Nicholas H. Gurley. All of the information matches except the last name. In searching Ancestry, Fold3, etc. for this man, I cannot find a Gohey on any documents for the 21st Alabama. In searching the internet for him or the Gohey family, I cannot find anything.

I have found a telephone number to call next week about this, but there is supposed to be an e-mail address that I can contact about this. If this is Nicholas Gurley, I do want to get another grave marker installed for him. I do have the paper trail to establish direct lineage if needed and his military records from Fold3.

I would appreciate it if anyone with the knowledge of the 21st can search this for me in your databases. And, if anyone has a particular contact with the National Cemetery Administration whom I can contact, I would appreciate that information also.
