The information I have on Private H. R. Gorom comes directly from his Compiled Service Record. I have checked and find no other reference to him in diaries etc.

However, I would suggest that it is very likely that he was with the regiment for the battles of Monocacy and Fort Stevens because it was noted under "Remarks",
that he was to receive “$7.00 additional pay per month from June 9, 1864.” My best guess is that that is a strong indication that he returned to the regiment on July 6, 1864.
