My g-g grandfather was Edward Amos Stacey. His brothers, John Monroe, Thomas S., John Adville, and Harrison all served. John Adville Stacey was killed at Chickamauga. Harrison Stacey was wounde and captured at Missionary Ridge, sent to Camp Chase. John Monroe was wounded and later joined Co. H, 42nd Ala. Thomas was wounded at Nashville. Edward was wounded at Spanish Fort, captured and sent to Ship Island.
