You will enjoy it, but be ready for the heat! Temperatures in NW Arkansas have been around 100 degrees for the past week (hotter down below in Fort Smith).

The park includes a visitor center and tour road that will take you to most of the key points of the battle.

If you are going to be in the area and have the time, I also recommend a stop by the Prairie Grove battlefield. It is only a short distance away from Pea Ridge and is an outstanding state park.
