I am looking for any new information on Jesse Newton Cordell. He is my ggrandfather on my father's side. We know that he was in the 18th Marmaduke, Arkansas. What I was wondering is if there is any reason for the word deserted to be put by his name and if family names are listed in case of death during war? I have been trying to find his parents names.
