Col. John C. Wright

We are looking for a portrait picture or a photograph of Colonel John Wright to include with a republication of his memoirs. Wright served during the war as Lt. Col. of the 15th Arkansas Infantry, later the 26th Arkansas, finally commanding the 12th Arkansas Cavalry. We are editing and annotating his memoir and would like to include his picture as well as obtain any personal recollections, pictures, diary entries etc. of members of the 12th Arkansas Cavalry as references. One desired picture would be that of Lt. Col. James W. Bowie, nephew of Jim Bowie of Alamo fame. Lt. Col. Bowie was mortally wounded in front of Jefferson City, Mo. during the Price Raid in October 1864.
