who served the CSA during the Civil War.

1) WILLIAM JAMES WITHERINGTON (1836-1904)

Private Age: 24 Capt. Nolan's Company, Third Regiment, Arkansas Infantry; Company Muster-In Roll, Lynchburg, VA July 2, 1861. Joined for duty and enrolled June 20, 1861 in Union County, Arkansas by Captain Nolan.

2) CROWDUS LEVAN WITHERINGTON(1838-1869)

Private-Enlisted in Co. A, 2nd Arkansas Cavalry Battalion, at Hampton, Arkansas, February 20, 1862; transferred to Co. H, 2nd Arkansas Cavalry Regiment, May 15, 1862; discharged for disability at Tupelo, Mississippi, June 14, 1862.

3) JOHN EBENEZER WITHERINGTON (1840-1908)

Private - Enlisted in Co. A, 2nd Arkansas Cavalry Battalion, at Hampton, Arkansas, February 20, 1862; transferred to Co. H, 2nd Arkansas Cavalry Regiment, May 15, 1862, transferred to Co. G, 2nd Arkansas Cavalry Regiment, August 18, 1862.

4) BENJAMIN FRANKLIN WITHERINGTON (1845-1920)
Pension record cites service in Co. C, 3rd Regiment Arkansas Cavalry, however not found on any of the muster rolls. His service was from 1863-1865, according to Virginia Witherington's early research.
