Richard Ryan

In a small cemetery in St.Clairsville,Ohio lie the remains of this Confederate soldier. Not much is known. We know he was a northerner with Confederate sympathies;we know he signed up while traveling thru the south as a salesman, wrote home. urging his son to come join up;we know he died sometime in June,1861,his body returned home under ther direction of the Masonic Lodge of Pine Bluff. Relative now deceased claimed to have no knowledge of his death, whether he was killed, died of disease,or what. Sure would like to find his militia group or regiment to properly mark the grave. He has a Confederate marker. Needless to say he lies among a who;e bunch of Yankees!! Can anybody help me? Have a copy of his picture(civilian) and the letter referred to above.
