As part of my resaerch for a book on the Army of Tennessee at the battle of Murfreesboro/Stone's River, I am attempting to provide a short biographical sketch of the regimental and brigade commanders. I would appreciate any information on Robert W. Harper prior to the war and up until the battle.

In the 1860 Census there is a R.W. Harper - 26 years old - Place of birth: Maryland - Occupation:Farmer/Lawyer - Family: Wife named Laura and son named R.W. - Residence Welborn Township, Conway County.
