Little Rock National Cemetery

I was a little suprised by the posts below about the condition of the LRNC & was as upset by this as anyone. I was going to suggest that I would join anyone who wanted to go there & clean up or mow CSA graves. When someone showed up to ask what we were doing I would say "we are trying to clean up graves", but before I did that I thought I should visit the place first. I live near to LR but have never been to the cemetery, it didnt take me long to get there. I can tell you that the Confederate section of the cemetery is as well maintained as any. That said, its not the best maintained cemetery I've ever seen. The grass is mowed, but the spaces between the headstones (about 24-30 inches) is not weeded. In some places this is very noticeable, in others not so bad. But as I said this is all over the cemetery. I didnt notice anything out of the ordinary besides that.
