There is an article in Confederate Veteran from his son who found a roster of a Miane company among his father's personal effects; CV speculated that a Maine company enlisted in the Confederate army; it was obviously a journal captured by Davenport, probably at 1st or 2nd Deep Bottom, where there were Maine troops involved. Hoping to get some personal info on him. I believe his first wife left him before the end of the war and he went to Arkansas. Have a remininiscence by Elijah Tollison which seems to infer the fact that when he got home his wife was gone.
