Wm. C. Byrds in 1860 Ark. and MO censuses...???

Howdy -

I had some time during a convention in Atlanta last weekend and went to the Atlanta History Center and checked out their archives; this done in hope of finding some details re the mysterious Wm. C. Byrd (New Co. F, 8th Ark. Inf.) who was wounded at Peachtree Creek in July, 1864.

Unfortunately, no luck there; the Atlanta History Center is actually located on the Peachtree Creek battle area amazingly enough...!!!

I had earlier found his hospital records in the Stout (CSA surgeon general for the AOT) Papers at the Univ. Texas Austin archives; unfortunately they indicate he was sent to Eufaula, but no indication of his age or home address.

Does anyone know if there is an online 1860 census for both Arkansas and Missouri that might be available? I want to now check just how many Wm. C. Byrds were extant in Southern Missouri and Northern Arkansas who might have enlisted in McCarver's 14th Ark. in Pocahontas, Randolph Co. AR circa 1861.

The mysterious Wm. C. Byrd who enlisted in McCarver's 14th Ark. saw his unit morph into (New) Co. F, 8th Ark. Inf.

thanks y'all...!!!
