Addenum: I failed to list my question which is: Does anyone know whether Bibles were issued to soldiers when they were mustered into service or has anyone who had ancestors serve in the AR. Confederacy have or know of little Bible books such as I described? Sorry, but I am so excited about finally having this additional information on James G. Ford's children's birthdates and full names, I forgot my question for the list!!
I'm very grateful the book was not tossed, and new info was found in it. Also, I'm still very elated and surprised to say the least, that the info was there all along in our family; it just took an interested member to open it and read it! Thanks for any input on this! Glynda
