My g.g.grndfather Thos. M. McCafferty, MS 29th, was captured either here, or at Chatanooga, and then transported to ROCK ISLAND PRISON where he spent his life until the war was over. Can you clarify which location he was indeed taken prisoner by his Regiment/Unit?
