Yes, I am aware of that Fort Douglas in the Ozarks of Northern Arkansas near the Big Piney Creek. I am not sure how this community came by its name.

The Fort Douglas that I am speaking of was a earthen fortification hastely built by Walkers Texas Division CSA in January, 1863 in responce to the Battle of Arkansas Post, near the present day community of Douglas, Arkansas in Lincoln County.

The Fort is referred to in a letter from the 9th Texas Artillery. It may also have been the location of "Camp Freezeout" and "Camp Skeedattle" referred to in other letters from Walkers Texas Division during that same expedition.
