10th Texas Cav in NE Ark 1862

I am trying to help a Majro General of the Texas NAtl Guard with information on the 10th TExas Cav which served in Hogg's Brigade of Van Dorn's command located around Oil Trough bottom/Jacksonport area. I am wondering if he means they served in Hogg's command and Van Dorn later rather than when they were in NE AR in 1861/62. They were later dismounted and sent east of the river, much like the 3rd Ark CavThey had a lot of deaths during htis time due to fever. He is wanting to gather info on their encampment locations, burial areas and any specific operations in the area. If anyone has any knowledge of any sources on this unit I would appreciate it. I plan to look into the OR's but thought someone might have some knowledge that could speed up the process. Thanks in advance.

Anthony
