Re: Need Help ID'ing soldiers in 22nd/35th Co. "G"

None of the Alverson brothers are carried on the rolls of Co. G, 35th (later 22nd) Arkansas Infantry, or of any other Arkansas company. Surviving rolls of the company cover the period June 18, 1862, through February 29, 1864.

David A. Alverson is listed on the rolls of Co. K, 14th Kansas Cavalry, U.S. Volunteers. He enlisted on February 2, 1864; and was mustered out on June 25, 1865. His residence was listed as Van Buren, Arkansas.

There is an old History of Crawford County written by Clara Eno that lists Joseph and William Alverson as members of Co. G, 35th Arkansas, but she doesn't cite a source of her information. Some other names she lists are also not carried on the surviving rolls of the company.
