Private Saul Ballew enlisted in Co. G, 36th Arkansas Infantry, at Springfield, Arkansas, on June 27, 1862; age 30; and died at Camp Hope, Arkansas, on September 12, 1862. His company was recruited in Pulaski County, so the best way to determine who this man was would be to check the 1860 census for Pulaski and surrounding counties to see if you can find a man who matches the name and age.
