Can someone help me with where the Camp Prentiss located near Helena would be?.My ancestor, Jacob H. Fleagle enlisted in August,1862, coming from Iowa with a unit that was camped here. All i know is he died Nov 1862,Helena or maybe Saline, of typhoid and now sleeps on a hill or bluffs overlooking the Mississippi at Helena. Is this where a Camp Prentiss would have been.The only place with a cemetery i was told was Mapleleaf?. I 'm sure he doesn't have a stone to mark the place but someday i would like to visit.thanks for any information.
