Re: John B. Turner - ANY MENTION OF GRIFFITHS..???
In Response To: John B. Turner ()

Hi Alice - !!!!!!! Is there any mention of my GRIFFITH ancestors who lived in/near Greenwood, Sebastian County, AR in the letters you have??? In particular, Samuel Acass "Cass" Griffith, Samuel Arthur "Moss" Griffith, John Griffith, Benjamin H. Griffith, Ellis Ringold Griffith, or Barbara Way Davidson Griffith???

They were listed in the 1860 census for Greenwood, Sebastian County; also all of the land in Greenwood was confiscated and distributed to former slaves by the Freedman's Bureau (I have those docs and know exactly where they lived; township, range, section, etc.).

Info re the Griffiths can be seen at the URL posted below; look under "Ken's Regiment of Ancestors"

thanks,

y.o.s.,

Kenneth Byrd
