The only identified Confederate grave that I have found in the Princeton Cemetery is that of Dr. Edwin E. Harris. Dr. Harris was under the care of Dr. Dye and died in Princeton, AR in September 1864. Harris was chief surgeon of Brig. Gen John B. Clark Jr.'s cavalry brigade as it was leaving on Sterling Price's 1864 Missouri Raid. I have copies of Dr. Harris' war-time correspondence and it is evident form these letters that Dr. Harris suffered from some type of chronic liver disease.
