Thanks for both replies. I do appreciate it and will pass it on.
I just could not imagine those men in that day and time, riding up on hill and over another on horseback.
As we all know, we take good easy riding roads for granted in this day and time. In those years of the Civil War doing something like that on horse would take you a while to get there.
If you ever come down to Lonoke, do come by the Lonoke County Museum up on Front Street. The welcome mat is always out and usually open six days a week. If it happens to be closed, the number is posted on the door for contact purposes. The museum just keep slowly adding to everything including the Civil War section.
