I knew the records were confusing to say the least.
We never knew that Granddaddy Price was in the 1st until I read the book called Rebel's Hell. We knew the story of his death.
It was always told that he fared better than his neighbor who supposedly was hung. However dying in prison does not seem to me like a better fate.
