sorry for the late reply.....the graves are in the cemetary right near old downtown, behind the church. the grave sites are marked with locally quarried stones. I got the story from a local cookbook about a town maiden that took sorry to the bushwhackers and dragged the bodies to the cemetary for a proper christian burial ( much to the chagrin of the townsfolk, who lost loved ones in the raid) She is buried close by and marked with a large ornate carved stone (with some of her family) I'll dig out the cookbook if your interested in the story. When I asked about the raid , I mentioned I found the graves to some old men and they glumly responded "Yep, They're still up there" like it happened last week. eery!
