Bryan...

My g-g-grandfather, Aaron Wilson Brian was a Lt. in Co H, of the 1st AR mounted Volunteers...mustering in as the Camden CAvalry on 6-10-1861.

I was interested in the Camp Yancy post...that they were there. Can you share with me their movements from the time they mustered in at Camden...following through until they were reorganized as part of the 3rd AR Cavalry. It is my understanding that he along with other officers were not re-elected in May 1862 while at Corinth,m and they were discharged and sent home.

Anything you can share with me about them up to that point would be wonderful. I know they participated at the skirmish at Farmington, MS on 5-9-1862...and that they were camped on the Current River near Pittman's Ferry in late 1861-early 1862. Did they fight at Wilson's Creek? Any other info you have on them?

Thanks a million...
