Bryan,
Quite right! I have read that Cleburne was referred to as "Stonewall of the West". Maybe that's true but I have never read where Cleburne was psychotic like Jackson, LOL. Having a great interest in the units in which my ancestors served, I must say that one of the most impressive things I have discovered was that one of my maternal ancestors served in the 63rd Virginia Infantry which was one of only 3 Virginia units to serve with the Army of Tennessee. The reason this impresses me is that A.W. Reyonlds' Brigade of which the 63rd was a part, was attached to Cleburne's command at Missionary Ridge and was part of Cleburne's efforts at Ringold Gap. I have read letters from members of the 63rd and they all contained praise for Cleburne. My friend Jeff Weaver has written a history of the 63rd, you might want to read. Too bad there were't more Generals like Cleburne in the AOT.
