Reference Mark's posting, listed is my gg grandfather: W. F. Porter, Co H of Hill's Regt. Just out of curiosity, do you have him in your database? His full name is William Franklin Porter. I have never been able to find any of his records, as I think they were most likely destroyed during Price's raid into Mo in '64.
