I find I mis-spelled his name, ---- and that he became a Col, Mar 16,'61, a Brig-Gen, Aug 1,'61 and Maj-Gen Sep 19,'61, placed in charge of Cavalry Corps Aug 27,'61 with Lt-Col E Kirby SMITH and 1st Lt John B HOOD in his command.

Do you know if Col Solon BORLAND ever returnd from his leave for sickness (15 Dec '61) before being discharged 26 May,'62? I don't think he did, even though his name appears in the records as if he were present.
