yes that is correct. Their flag as well as that of the 22nd NC Inf (if I remember correct) were picked up from their camps along Aquia Creek when the Feds arrived after the CS forces pulled out. The soldiers mention the two flags, the NC flag had its info on it and the soldier said the other was the flag of an Arkansas unit. I think they were evidently hastily abandoned by mistake. At any rate a gentl;eman in rogers has it. It is a 1st natl by way of his description. I need to get up there and see it sometime, I just never make it that far north.
ANother thread I tried to track down but have not been able to yet is that the ANV flag they may have had was kept a member of the 2nd after they went into the 3rd INF. LAter that individual gave it to a member of the 3rd Ark and that it is that 1st issue ANV held by the Old State House. However, I am unable to track any provenance in this regard. It would make sense. Of course the OSHM states it is an ANV misidentified as an Ark unit. But, there is an outside chance. I believe it is part of the Jesse Bailey donations.
