I just read Bryan's response about the soldier in the 19th and was wondering how many doctors served in the army as officers instead of doctor/surgeon. Two that come to mind are S.J. Peoples, 1st Arkansas and later Carlton's Cavalry and John Paul Stanley, Captain Co E, 26th Arkansas.

Can anyone else list any examples?
