On Sunday, April 29, 2007, at 2:00PM there will be a Confederate Memorial Day Service in the Confederate Square at Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville, Ark. The event is sponsored by the Capt. John W Randle Camp #649 SCV of Dardanelle. I would like to invite everyone who reads this board to attend. Danny Honnell will be our speaker. As far as I can determine there has not been a ceremony in the square since 1937 or thereabout. There are at least 120 granite markers in the aquare and a Confederate Monument. We will decorate all the graves of the veterans for the service.
