If you stand in front of the ballpark and look across Hwy. 70, you will see two lines of trees leading down to Bayou Two Prairie. Just to the left of these trees is a minnow farm.

Between these rows of trees was the road running from the railroad to Brownsville. We have found no evidence that there was any building on the site. We know that this was the road to Brownsville because of the artifacts that have been found along it.

Perhaps Hick's Station was established after the War as a depot for Lonoke.

I'm not exactly sure where the old courthouse stood at Brownsville but imagine it would be close to where the Memphis Military Road crossed present day Hwy. 31.

About a quarter mile west of the present day highway on the south side of the Military Road was a large Union Infantry Camp. The land was owned by the Watson's back in the 1980's. This was also a permanent encampment with huts and fire pits but I've yet been able to find any reference as to what unit was stationed there.
