PRICES's Missouri(ah) raid

Seven Confederate generals, including Tappen, Fagan, Price, Cabell, Marmaduke (who on the 29th cut off hair on his head and beard) were gathered in Princeton, Dallas county, Arkansas. Six left August 30, 1864, Gen Tappen remaining, with his band giving a serenade evening of the 7th, leaving September 8th.

Cabell & family had arrived 16th, Fagan & wife arrived the 23rd.

The ladies made a flag for Cabell in late August, Virginia 1st used a crimson star, replaced it with a white one, Maj King spent half the day trying to make letteres but failed.
