25/30 Ark. Color Bearer at Murfreesboro

I am attempting to identify the color bearer of the 30th Arkansas Infantry at Murfreesboro. Captain Willaim A. Cotter stated in his report: "Among the rest was our gallant flag-bearer, whose hand was shot off and he was compelled to abandon his colors." (O.R. Vol. 20, Part I, p. 954)

The casualty list for the regiment shows H.J. Carlisle - Ensign - Company K - Wounded and Missing. I can find no such person on the National Park Service's Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System.

National Archives records show Sgt. John A. Cargil, Company K, 25th Arkansas being sent to Nashville on 7 Jan 1863 as a prisoner. Could Cargil/Carlisle be one and the same?

Any help would be most appreciated.

My Thanks and GOD's Blessins,
Lanny Smith
