Looking for info pertaining to the 13th Illinois Infantry when they were attached to the Army of the Southwest on the march from Pea Ridge to Helena, AR.
There was some action in Woodruff County on July 7, 1862 while on the march to Helena. I am looking for information about action on July 7, 1862 in which the 13th Illinois Infantry was involved. This is not the Battle of Hill's Plantation. This was a totally different battle. The 13th Ill. Inf. took a different route from Curtis. If anyone has any accounts of the march please let me know.
