Hello. I promised an elderly man I would check and see what I could find out about his great grandfather, William Nathan Morris who may have been listed as from Pulaski County at the time.
According to family oral history, this man was in Georgia when the Civil War ended. Wm. Morris secured three animals including at least one mule that he brought back. Supposedly this was what got him started in farming when he returned to Arkansas.
Any information such as group he served with or if he ever drew a pension would be appreciated.
