Yes, please post when you can. As you well know, I am always into anything relating to the Civil War and White County.
I must correct myself about the earlier post.
It was Mr. Edwards in the Little House books who was a Confederate, not Mr. Johnson. I have often wondered if he knew that he made it into the book for his kindness.
Edwards went on down the river when the settlers were forced out of Kansas even though the Ingals family told him to come and ride out with them. Edwards would not go north with his friends probably because this was shortly after the war had ended and he had enough sense not to do that.
