Your post is over a year old so you may already have this info. Gideon R. Craig was my gr gr grandfather. My grandmother was Bertha Craig, daughter of Gideon N. Craig (brother of John C. Craig) who was the son of Gideon R. My mother and I as well as many other people have been trying to research Gideon's father, etc. for many years with no success. He was married to Fredonia A. Pearce but it was not the first marriage for Fredonia. She married E.L.N. Jones and they are listed in the 1860 census in Arkansas, Ouachita County, Behestian Twp, Pg 85. They had a daughter, Elisha Caroline Jones, born in 1862. E.L.N.Jones was killed and Fredonia then married Gideon R. Craig. Sounds like your gr gr grandfather was E.L.N. Jones, your gr gr grandmother was Fredonia and your gr grandmother was her daughter, Elisha Caroline. Don't have much information on Caroline except that she married a John B. Rinkle. She and her husband are listed in the 1880 census in Clark Co, AR, Alpine Twp. They have 2 daughters in the census. Hope this helps.
