From "Wikipedia", for what it's worth, here is the information on the current disposition of the CSS Arkansas "The Arkansas currently rests, aligned north/south, deep under a levee roughly 1.4 miles south of the auto/rail bridge just below Free Negro Point. The wreck is 690 feet past river mile 233."

From Topozone, based on these coordinates, the image below should be the area and the "red cross" the exact location. The dark line/bridge at the top of the image is the 190 or old bridge at Baton Rouge.
