I think that to be a logical argument. However, since I know for a fact that William A. Thompson got Hansford's widow and Goodin Deaton together, I'm wondering if Thompson actually belonged to a Georgia unit. The entry you have on Hansford is the same one I've found and I'm quite sure it's my great-great-great grandfather. I just dislike ends that are tied-up. And I'm hoping to find something to substantiate family oral history. I may not. But I'm having a blast learning more about the Civil War while I'm at it!
