Battery F, 1st Missouri Light Artillery, doesn't appear to have been any further south in Arkansas than Van Buren. The battery fought at Prairie Grove, and was in on the occupation of Van Buren (December 27-29, 1862), then was sent back to Missouri until April 1863, when they took part in the siege of Vicksburg as part of the 13th Army Corps. They remained with the 13th Corps until the end of the war, ending up at Mobile, Alabama, when the war ended.
