Hi thanks for the posting. my anc. grandfatherBorden was at several battles having enlisted in Newton Co MO 1862
he enlisted with 2 Borden brothers and a Griffith cousin.
They all stayed together until Jenkins Ferry when John Borden and Sam Griffith were captured and shipped to Ft Delaware....my grandfather Will and his remaining brother Adam escaped capture....they were seperated somehow until after the war....I found my Will Borden and his younger brother Adam Borden they both were paroled at Jacksonport AR June 5, 1865....I got some info about Jacksonport AR from the internet...but would like any information about this place, were they imprisioned there ? Brig Gen M.J. Thompson CSA surrendered his Army there to Maj Gen Dodge USA....are there rosters of those surrendering to be found somewhere ?? They apparently surr. with Williams MO Cav Co D .... I believe they were so decimated at Jenkins Ferry, they joined with Williams Rgm. Any help about Jacksonport AR is appreciatd.
