Yes, I do relate.
You are like me in that you still feel their pain even after all this time.
Pleas Loyd still fared better than most in the family.
Apparently my grandfather Harper listened to all the old stories and then told them to his children also.
You can almost hear the sorrow in their voices.
Those were the stories of my childhood, of the Price family floating the White River into Arkansas, of Granddaddy Price dying in the Yankee Prison and of Pleas Loyd dying. One thing for sure, it sure made me appreciate their history.
