I can attest to the fact that many "Marshall, Texas enfield" bullets have been recovered from several Confederate cavalry camps in Arkanasas used by Shelby, Marmaduke, and Cabell just prior to their embarking on the 1864 Missouri Raid.
The calibers of these bullets are typically .577 and .54.
