I am not sure if this has anything to do with what you are looking for, but during the Red River Campaign, the Confederate army captured quite a few Enfields. I know from the Orr brothers diary that some of Parson's Texas Cavalry were outfitted with Enfields after the campaign. However, not all received them, as some had to continue useing there double barrel shotguns.
